Jess's Books

The Sixth Book 1800x2700.jpg

The Sixth Book was written from January to March 2019 after the idea came to Jess in a dream in late 2018. The Sixth Book was released by World Castle Publishing on June 29, 2021, allowing Jess to officially remove the "self" from "self-published author".

The Sixth Book

Rebellious and immature Finn Howell turns his life around when he meets the young, sophisticated Maia Boerio and falls deeply in love with her. Their shared love of rare novels becomes a burden in Finn's life when he finds a series called A Tale of Time piled in with one of his rare book purchases. It is no ordinary series of rare novels, though.

These six books were published in the mid-nineteenth century, but they describe world events occurring from 1879 to 2059. The sixth book, however, predicts the future—a future that lies on the pages resting in Finn's hands. As he struggles with his sanity in trying to determine who wrote the books, who gave him the books—and more importantly, why they gave him the books—Finn discovers a difficult truth.

West of Dawn, Jess's third novel, was written in 51 days between November 1st and December 21st, 2016. The novel was self-published on June 2, 2017. Just like Jess's previous two novels, Jess wrote this book as part of the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) program, which encourages authors to write 50,000 words in 30 days during the month of November.

Soul Survivor is Jess's second self-published novel. She wrote it in 39 days, beginning November 1st and ending December 9th, 2015. Just like West of Dawn and Irrefutable Annihilation, she wrote it for the NaNoWriMo program. On May 31st, 2016, Jess self-published the novel and in early 2017 Soul Survivor became available in three local Hamilton, Ontario bookstores.

Soul Survivor

It is 2026. Glendo, Wyoming. The world knows what's coming. An annihilation by asteroids. An annihilation of the human race. When your nightmares become your reality, your life becomes a test. What are you willing to sacrifice for people you've only just met? Twixin Hadley would sacrifice all but his family. On the other hand, Gulf Lynn would do anything to save his own life. In the end, the characters must decide what is most important to them: trust, love, friendship, family or their own survival? With the cities and towns destroyed, the Glendo forest becomes their home for four days, and if they're lucky, much longer.

Irrefutable Annihilation was Jess's first novel. She wrote it in 30 days, beginning November 1st, and ending November 30th, 2014, as part of NaNoWriMo. While Irrefutable Annihilation is not available for sale, Jess saved copies of the book as a reminder of her accomplishing her dream at such a young age.

Irrefutable Annihilaton:

John Peters, a curious reporter, appears at Clouge Malin's door by the request of her Uncle Aclain. For 30 years Clouge's story has been a secret, but not anymore.

She travels from past to present sharing her story with John, a story of what happens when you know you will die.
